GRANDE PRAIRIE, AB, May 27,2020: As a full service general contractor, IPAC provides construction and maintenance services to a broad base of heavy industrial sectors of Western Canada. Many of IPAC’s clients are in the natural resource extraction industry. As most natural resource development in Canada takes place on the traditional territory of Indigenous peoples, much of IPAC’s work activities are also completed on or near these lands. As a testimony of our commitment to give back and to maintain positive Indigenous relations, IPAC is excited to work with Indspire and offer the IPAC Indigenous Trades Scholarships.
Indspire is an Indigenous registered charity that invests in the education of Indigenous people. In 2017-18, Indspire disbursed $14.2 million through over 4,900 bursaries and scholarships to First Nations, Inuit, and Metis students.
The benefits of these scholarships are twofold as they promote the apprenticeship and trades programs of Canada, while supporting the students in our neighbouring communities.
