Derrick Mysko - President
Derrick is a strong and focused leader with a keen determination to provide results. Derrick has assembled a dynamic team of Directors since taking on the role of President for IPAC in May of 2019. Derrick has held executive leadership positions since starting with the company in 2003 which has equipped him with a detailed working knowledge of all facets of IPAC’s business operations and administration. Derrick’s solid background in operations, finance and the energy sector have been invaluable in formulating and facilitating strategies related to corporate development.
As the most senior member of the executive team, Derrick works closely with all Directors of the company to attain strategic goals, develop long-range objectives and create corporate policies that align with the Board’s directives. He continues to oversee the Project Management Office in Calgary.
Martin Du Plessis- Director of Major Projects
Martin started with IPAC in 2018 as a Project Manager working for our major projects group. Martin has 20 years of construction and industry experience with a strong background in mechanical piping and a detailed understanding of all phases of the construction process. His trade certification includes a Red Seal Journeyman Plumber and Gasfitter ticket and an Industrial Construction Crew Supervisor Certificate. Additionally, Martin has his Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
As Director of Major Projects, Martin is responsible for the development of processes and procedures to drive efficiency, consistency and excellence in project delivery. Martin works closely with the President and other project managers to further develop and implement operational strategies.
Shawn Ward – Director of Service & Maintenance
Having worked for IPAC since 2000, Shawn Ward has extensive experience in the oil and gas construction and maintenance sector. He continues to play an instrumental role in IPAC’s expansion efforts in the province of British Columbia. Under his operational guidance, Shawn has organically grown the operations centre in Fort St. John, BC to include all aspects of IPAC’s service offerings. Shawn’s dedication and entrepreneurial spirit to expand and create value for IPAC’s clients and for the local communities IPAC works in goes unmatched.
Shawn’s role as Director of Service & Maintenance includes close collaboration with the President in planning, directing and overseeing all aspects of IPAC’s mechanical maintenance, fabrication, scaffold and insulation service lines in British Columbia and Alberta. A large aspect of his role includes local business development and sales.
Chris Rimmer – Director of Industrial Coatings
Chris Rimmer has 20 years of extensive experience in the coatings industry and has managed the operations of IPAC’s Industrial Coatings service line since 2004. Chris’ strong leadership skills result from previous training in team management, professional coaching, communication and psychology. Chris holds a NACE Level 2 certification and has a thorough knowledge of abrasive blasting and coating codes, specifications and quality requirements for all types of industrial applications.
Chris has been instrumental in growing the coatings group from small beginnings to greatly increase its revenue base in the past 15 years. This niche market continues to provide exciting opportunities for IPAC through Chris’ leadership and experience.
Alana Turcotte – Director of Business Development
Alana Turcotte leads IPAC’s business development from our Calgary Project Management Office with over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Alana’s background in financing and business development for companies across the industry, including drilling, manufacturing, pipeline and facility construction, made her a great fit for IPAC Services when she joined in 2014. Alana has her Business Administration Diploma in Marketing and Management and actively participates as a member in Calgary Women in Energy (CWIE) and the Gas Producers Association of Canada (GPAC).
As Director of Business Development, Alana leads the sales and estimating department and is responsible for the overall representation and marketing direction of the corporation. Alana’s professionalism and authenticity have been key to her success in creating lasting business relationships.
Phil Linfield – Director of HSE
Phil started with IPAC Services as the Corporate QA & Loss Prevention Manager in 2008. Prior to coming to IPAC, Phil’s background was in industrial chemical plant operations. Phil practices situational leadership that strives for team-building with a focus on accountability, honesty and fairness. Phil is trained in root cause analysis, process hazard analysis, hazop methods and behavioural based safety. He is a Certified Engineering Technologist registered with ASET and an active member of the Grande Prairie Petroleum Association.
As Director of HSE, Phil continues to bring safety to the foreground on IPAC’s projects and has successfully worked to reduce recordable and lost time injuries over the years. He is responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of all corporate health, safety and environmental strategies.
Sheldon Rule – Director of Quality Assurance
Sheldon brings to IPAC Services more than 20 years of industry experience with the progression from a field position, to attaining his interprovincial journeyman status in the welding trade, and then continuing into management. Sheldon holds certification as a CSA 178.2 Weld Inspector, AWS Quality Control Inspector, and CWB Welding Supervisor. With his combination of field experience, inspection certification, and proficiency in code requirements, Sheldon efficiently handles the ever-progressing quality control landscape at IPAC Services.
As Director of Quality Assurance, Sheldon oversees the quality programs at IPAC and leads a team of proficient quality control managers, inspectors and personnel. Through training and affiliations with certifying partners and industry organizations, Sheldon stays informed of change to help IPAC meet and adapt to the challenging climate of project traceability.
Nicole Wilson – Director of Finance
Nicole Wilson has 15 years of experience working in general administration and office automation in the oil and gas and industrial construction industries. Integral to this experience is her long-time history with IPAC Services, allowing her to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the operational and administration workings of the company. Previous to her position of Director of Finance, Nicole held the positions of Controller and Office Administration Manager with IPAC. Nicole’s academic background includes courses in administration, financial accounting and financial mathematics.
As Director of Finance, Nicole oversees all administrative functions including human resources, purchasing, accounting and data management. She works closely with the President to ensure cost controls are in place and reporting on financial and budgetary aspects of the company are completed accurately and timely.
Rochelle Killins – Director of Communications
Another long-standing employee of IPAC Services, Rochelle has an intricate knowledge of all aspects of the business. For over 20 years she has played an important part in developing administrative and operational processes at IPAC. Former roles have included Contracts Administrator, Project Manager and Executive Assistant. In 2017, Rochelle completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional Communication.
As Director of Communications, Rochelle leads, develops and implements companywide integrated communication strategies both internally and externally. Rochelle works with Business Development to provide consistent branding and guide proactive communication campaigns that raise awareness about IPAC’s services, strengths and new technologies that are transforming the customer experience. Internally she helps the senior leadership team drive change and deliver business goals, values and results by effectively informing, influencing and engaging employees.
Ron Ward - Co-Founder and Chairman
As Chairman, Ron's role is to support the President and Directors in achieving the Board's directives. With a 30-year history as co-founder and past President & CEO, Ron affords insight and understanding to the leadership team when developing strategy plans related to operations, control and marketing.
